Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it ;) It's a tragic and dark historical event in this world that is even more tragic from the fact that nobody even really knows what happened (aside from the few concerned of course). In the "present" world of Erethia there are many legends and myths about the fall of Vaeldur, but of course none of them come close to the truth ;)
Posting the story was a good choice. It definitely does stand on its own, though it certainly also makes me anticipate the publication of other material set in the same universe.
I bought Everlife, which I'm looking forward to reading.
There are already quite a few stories on here that are set in the same universe--all the Varushka and Laroch stories, for instance. The current Reikk ones as well, and the two Thimmin & Kelle stories I posted so far. In fact, have you read "Thief of Souls"? I mention Vaeldur in that one.
Incidentally, "Everlife" is also set in the same universe but far in its future, after the Erethians have conquered the stars. Hope you'll enjoy the read! ;) And thanks for buying the novel, appreciate it.
Oh my god, this is so tragic for everyone involved!
I like your take on a hive mind. I like that the glighs are very connected but still their own people.

It’s good to know there are already more things to explore!
