Another month has gone to wherever months go when time passes, and I can’t say I’ve done much progress on my fiction.
So what have I been doing? Mostly editing the “Time of Champions” anthology, writing film reviews, and doing research for planned non-fiction books.
I also came up with ideas for a new character—a sort of cross between Adam Warlock, Dr. Strange, and Magneto. And no, he will not be a superhero, more like a powerful wizard in a futuristic setting. His stories will be set in the Weld, which is the same universe featured in my novel “Everlife.”
Just to be clear, I don’t have a story for him yet. I’ve mostly jotted down notes about the character, his back story, his powers, stuff like that. But I’m excited with what I have so far. Should be a fun one to develop.
In other news, I’ll soon resume work on Through the Stars, Darkly as I only have a few chapters of the serial left before I run out of material to publish.
Oh, and I just submitted a short story to the Baen Fantasy Adventure Award, so crossing my fingers about that one.
Coming up this month
Ideally, I’d like to post a Jean-Jack Laroch story this month. Only problem is, it’s not written yet. I do have a plot idea, so I’ll try to get that done in the coming weeks.
But don’t worry, if I can’t get that one done in time, I have a few other stories on hold for emergencies ;)
If you like my writing, please consider buying a copy of my novel, upgrading to a paid subscription, or making a Paypal or Ko-fi donation. As an independent author, any of these would help a lot!
