So this will be another quick one, mainly because I’m working on a tight deadline.
But… I do have some good news! I’ll have three short stories published in an upcoming anthology set in a shared universe.
I’m sure you’re all familiar with Dungeons & Dragons. Well, TSR, the company that originally published D&D, created other games as well. One of those was called Dragon Dice. TSR also published novels set in that game’s universe. When TSR was bought by Wizards of the Coast, the new company discontinued Dragon Dice (and its novels along with it).
A company called SFR eventually bought Dragon Dice, and the book rights were licensed to TreeShaker Books in 2020.
“Time of the Champions” was originally the title of a novel by Ed Stark planned for release in 1997, but it was cancelled when TSR shut down.
Now, “Time of the Champions” will finally be published. It serves as a prequel to the other Dragon Dice books. While it still is technically a novel (based on Ed Stark’s original outline), each of its 12 chapters have been assigned to five authors, making it also an anthology.
I am writing (under my Steffen Larken pen name) three of those chapters.
A Kickstarter will soon launch to help finance the book. If this project intrigues you, please consider clicking on the “notify me on launch” button on this pre-launch page:

Coming up this month
I honestly have no idea yet what story I’ll be publishing this month! So I guess it’ll be a surprise—for both you and me!
You can expect that to drop toward the end of the month, though.
If you like my writing, please consider buying a copy of my novel, upgrading to a paid subscription, or making a Paypal or Ko-fi donation. As an independent author, any of these would help a lot!
