So I’ve finally set an official release date for my debut novel…
“Everlife” will be out on September 7, 2022. I plan to make a print version available as well, though I’m not sure yet if it’ll be out at the same time. We shall see.
The book’s cover is done, though I’m still fine-tuning the blurb… I swear to God, blurbs are a hundred times harder to write than novels! Gah. But I’ll tame this thing yet.
Cover reveal
I figured I’d share with you all a sneak peek of the “Everlife” cover. Here it is, in all its glory. By the way, you can click on the image to see a bigger version ;)
In case you’re wondering, I made the cover myself, using stock art I bought online.
Writing news
I started a short story I’ll likely post next month (featuring that duo of spies I mentioned last time), and am currently working on a new novel—my sixth overall (“Everlife” is my first published, but not my first written!)
The western project is still going round in my head but will take some time before I write it. In part because it will require a ton of research (which I’ve started doing) but also because I have a few other books I want to write before I start on this one.
Coming up this month
The first story I’ll post this month is a bit unusual in more than one way.
First because it’s not really a short story but rather a chapter of the round-robin I’m participating in: “The Grisly Ghosts of Gruesome Time.” If you haven’t been reading this, I strongly recommend you do—especially if you like weird, surreal, crazy stories that mess with time travel and multiverses with a strong dash of humor. I’ll be honest, it actually came out a lot better than I had expected.
The other unusual thing about this is that it’ll be published at an unusual time for me. I normally always post on Wednesdays for free content and Sundays for paid content. But the round-robin has been going out on Thursdays, and my chapter (#11) is due out… tomorrow! So if you haven’t read the previous chapters yet, what are you waiting for? You can still catch up before my contribution hits the web ;)
After that, I’ll give you a couple of weeks to catch your breath… and then I’ll treat you to another Count Varushka tale—this will be the third I’ll post. For those of you who don’t know him yet, his first story is here.
And that’s all I have for now.

The Mystic of Marengo by Daniel R. Jones
The town is boring. Nana's psycho. Or is she psychic?
Nobody in their right mind would want to spend their summer in Marengo, Indiana.
It’s backwoods, boring, and in the middle of nowhere. To make matters worse, the tiny town is settled on top of a creepy, sprawling cave.

Grimlock Tales by J.J. Egosi
If curiosity could kill…, Alexander Grimlock would be the most prolific murderer the city of Elandor has ever seen.
A witch doctor cast out from society for his veneration of the paranormal seeks to understand the numerous supernatural races that inhabit his world. No cost is too great. Not even his own life!
What treacheries lay ahead on his road to clarity? Is there a deal too steep or is it merely a matter of finding the right price? [… read more …]
